Today, Franz and Jess came to tell us all about Austria, Switzerland and what the team have been up to since we started selling our drinks there back in October.

To get us in the Alpine spirit, they brought along some traditional Austrian delicacies, including lashings of goulash

And this brilliant chap, Roman, who can yodel as proficiently as he can play the accordion (whilst balancing a golden bunny).

We got to ask whatever we've always wanted to know about the Alps and then had to politely listen to Franz's story about some village elders trying to trick an old man into telling them something or other before getting our chocolate bunnies (and some more accordian tunes).

alpine furniture update

Regular readers will know that we opened an office in Austria at the end of last year and are slowly gearing up to sell lots of drinks there. Last time we visited, Franz had found a desk, finally ending the furniture shortage that saw him resort to using his wife's breastfeeding chair for office comfort.

Well, today things moved on a step or two. Our Austrian friends sent us over a picture of Franz actually putting a desk together (above). And we can also see a new yellow chair in the background, in front of 'Old Faithful' (the breastfeeding chair). Things are on the up.

Next week - Jess buys some indoor plants for the office and Line rinses some mugs.

Those of you who have too much time on your hands will be aware of the fact that furniture is hard to come by in our new Austrian office.

We are sure that you will join us in heaving a huge sigh of relief upon learning that Franz now has a desk. Admittedly, he now needs to put it in the office and stop weightlifting with it in the back garden, but it's a start.

You may remember that in our last Alpine update, Jess was working out of her B&B, due to our lack of an office. We are happy to report that we've now found an office, but the only furniture that we have so far is Franz's wife's breastfeeding chair and matching footstool.

We're about to start selling drinks in Austria. Well, when we say 'about to', it's sort of looking like this...

We're starting off in beautiful Salzburg...

...from the comfort of her B&B, currently doubling as the launch office.
