Simon has just come back from his honeymoon in Italy.
While out in Assisi, he treated himself to his very own pair of handmade Italian shoes.
The craftsmanship is amazing.

Sure, they're lovely but black socks?

Dear Simon,
Okay, the shoes are fancy, no doubt about that, but black socks?!?!?! Shame on you! When you had made these shoes, maybe you should have paid some attention to the Italian men who wear them. NO socks! And no excuse about the cold Brittish weather... NO socks!

Sweet kicks bro

Oh I dunno, no socks can sometimes generate baaad smells. I speak from experience; I'm a student...
Perhaps he should invent some nifty male tights which just cover the bottom of his feet - somewhat like what is marketed for females. But you know, more manly.
It'd be a winner for handmade Italian leather clad lads worldwide, I'm sure.

Forgive me for being naive but...what is wrong with black socks?

Oh wow. 'Nough said ;)

I have to know how much they cost, and how long they took to be made.

Lucy: black socks are a no-no unless you're also wearing black shoes - e.g. with a sharp city suit or similar.

I think they're fantastic, and just so achingly Italian. And, oh, the Italians are the kings and queens of style, let's not forget. Wearing shoes like that demonstrates a certain confidence that's sadly lacking these days - good on you, Simon - they're great :-) Alex.
