Tansy's sister Lettice has been doing some cool things with wool. According to Lettice it was a performance piece to ‘disrupt the urban flow and distract people from their everyday’ as part of her architecture degree. It’s part of a longer term project to design an arts centre in Cambridge.
Even better news, at least for us, is that after the distraction, all of the wool has gone to grannies and knitting groups in Cambridge so that we can get some more Supergran hats. Thanks Lettice.
This must have freaked out the local spider population!
So, if you have a spider in your house you want out, instead of resorting to a rolled up newspaper you can invite Tansy's sister round to make a gigantic multicoloured spider's web!

Dear Lettice who makes things with wool. My name is Lettice - this is true - and I often look for other Lettice's on the internet.
I live in New York and I am starting to knit a scarf.
I am nine.
I'd like to know what you art you are doing now.
Lettice.

Hello Lettice from New York
We're going to let our Lettice know that you posted a comment here - hopefully she'll email you soon and you two can talk about what it's like being Lettice.
