There was an early episode of the wonderful sitcom DROP THE DEAD DONKEY where members of staff were wearing viking helmets. Had something to do with "an error of judgement" by Sally, the glamorous newsreader.

Can't go into the exact reasons though, as this is a family blog!

Its great to see that you have so much fun at work, you'll never see that in a financial services management office.

I am the green eyed monster...

Wonderful. That's exactly what we do all day over here, sit around with our helmets on eating meatballs.
You're just a bit of friendly Danish-Swedish feuding short of actually being Scandinavian.
That, or learning to catch the meatballs mid-air with your viking horns. Congratulations...

Hey Nicholai. Apologies for the gross generalisations. The meatballs were pretty good though. Any tips on behaving more authentically Danish (or Swedish) would be more than welcome. Hope you're well.

Hi Guys,

Great Idea with the themed day and the launch, looks like fun.

I dont want to come across all 'school teacher' ish, but just when you were giving facts about Scandanavia, you included Finland as a Scandanavian country. I have some Finnish friends and they tell me Finland actually isn't a Scandanavian country, but a Nordic country and I believe the Danish feel this way too! just thought I'd let u know incase some sensitive bods get upset with you!

Keep up the great drinks and work!

Aidan, Dublin.

Hello Aidan. We've had a few Danish and Swedish folks point this out. We goofed. But it also seems that different people mean different things when they refer to Scandinavia. The facts about what is/isn't Scandinavia are much better explained by the nice people at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia

The Viking theme is being continued by students at The Together Trust who have decorated this great Viking hat (and beard, all good Vikings have beards) for this years supergran.
