Did you know that honey bees have to gather nectar from two million flowers in order to make a pound of honey, which means that one bee would have to fly 3 times round the globe to make a pound of honey? Cor blimey. However, in reality the average honey bee will only make 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in their lifetime. Sob.
But the best bee fact is that they communicate using the medium of dance, as shown in this highly informative film.

Bees are the best insects, they mind their own business and believe in revenge

It is so good to see so many bees in UK, especially last month.

Very exciting stuff. Eddie Izzard fans have known about the intricate dance thing for ages. (As, no doubt, have bee experts.) In the case of the Eddie Izzard fans, they know specifically about Brian the Bee's intricate dance. Very knowledgable is Eddie Izzard. Despite being, or perhaps as a result of being, PARTIALLY dyslexic... Sorry. Is this just me? Does anyone else out there know what on earth I'm on about?

Hi Dan,
female honeybees die after they sting you so they must believe that revenge is worth it. Funny how revenge tends to be a female thing.
I forgot to add that bees are cute and fluffy too!
