My mum's dog loves carrots so I bet his ideal smoothie would be carrot and chicken flavour! Although he also likes tissues so carrot and tissue would probably be just as popular with him, lol!

I used to have GALS (giant African land snails) and they would've enjoyed a cucumber and aubergine smoothie.

My final idea is a smoothie for cows: grass, grass and added grass! Tehehe!

Our horses, Gypsy, Alfie (he's the MAN) and Foxtor would like a carrot and apple smoothie with a hint of Polo mint infused with a Coolmix puree. Perhaps you could include a culinary herb that the Romans left behind when they returned to Italy called Alexander? Which now grows wild in the countryside. The horses love it.

We have two black labs who will happily wolf (ha!) all the fruit from the trees in our garden. No apples, no plums, no greengages, are usually left for the family, and the dogs don't catch cold in winter.

... except this year. This year husband David was determined we'd have some greengages (he likes them). So before they became too ripe and fell off the trees, he picked them all. ALL !!! There, he said, now you can make jam.

Lesson one. You cannot use any fruit that is too ripe, or is bruised.

Lesson two. Tesco's do Fair Trade sugar in 5Kilo bags ~ get at least two, probably three.

Lesson three. You cannot magic three dozen glass jars ... and vacuum seal lids ... out of thin air, especially when your council assiduously encourages you to recycle them (but Lakeland will deliver preserving stuff next day).

So, have you got any smoothie recipies for greengages? I'll try them on the humans as well as the dogs.

PS: have been fair, have left the apples for the dogs.

mature cheddar and fish for cats?
my dads dogs already love all your recipes, i let them lick my breakfast smoothie glass clean. dogs are brilliant pre washers! (and im sure the extra vitamins dont hurt!)
last year i went blackberry picking with them and taught the dogs to "pick their own!"

My cat Gingerbits, loved eating avocados, vegetarian pizza topping, and soya yoghurts. There must be a smoothies in there somewhere!,

My cats, Archie and Barney like eggs (go Ian!), chicken (grown up eggs), olives and tuna. A bit of catnip just for the buzz too.....

That's a protein smoothie if ever there was one, maybe good for us humans too??
