This is Carlos. You might recognise him from his guest role in our new telly ad.
Carlos is our man on the ground in Latin America. He works with the Rainforest Alliance, a charity that is pioneering a better way of growing fruit that helps protect workers, local communities, wildlife and the environment. It's a great organisation and one we're proud to help support. Currently, all our bananas come from Rainforest Alliance accredited farms. And we're working with Carlos to introduce this more enlightened way of growing to the places where our pineapples come from. Ultimately we want all fruit to be grown in this way.
Carlos' official title is quite appropriately 'Fruit Supply Coordinator' and he knows the fruit industry inside out having run his own banana plantation for 20 years previously, which makes him a very good friend for us to have.
Some other interesting facts about Carlos include:
He even gave us a bag of his absolute favourite coffee to bring back to fruit towers with us.
Thanks Carlos. Keep up the great work and good luck with those pineapples.

Freaky!
He has good taste in Coffee..
Our bag of the of the same coffee, and we're only 500 yards from Fruit Towers! (We went to Costa Rica on holiday in October and bought home a huge haul of coffee!)

I think Carlos would agree that you have very good taste in coffee Fimb.
Quite a coincidence that you have the exact same coffee though, especially as your just down the way from us.(Those road works are a pain at the minute aren't they).

Sounds like a decent bloke. Anyone who appreciates good coffee and sustainable moustache growth can't be bad.
Any idea if you can get that coffee in the UK or buy it over the internet? My dad is coffee mad and I'd like to get him the nicest coffee in the world for his birthday...

Hey, I'm a bit suspicious. I know San Jose airport quite well and I've never seen Carlos at the runway........maybe this is a scam - an 'in your face' attempt to promote a certain brand of coffee! Call me a cynic but I always drink Brit coffee when in Costa Rica. Terrible name I know but, hey, great taste!
(P.S. Well, I suppose it was seven years since I was in Costa Rica. Maybe Carlos is a newbie)

Roadworks? I think you need to narrow it down further than that ;)
Re: Brit coffee in UK. We haven't been able to find it for love nor money.. they offered international shipping at the airport, but to Europe it was around $40 per kilo. We bought 3 kilos home with us but could't squeeze any more in anywhere.
We'll pop in for a cup with Carlos when we return (because we ~will~ return, Costa Rica is a truly fantastic country, and their people just ~so~ nice!)
