the banana that didn't bend
Adam is cross. The banana protecting device that he bought wasn't the right shape for his banana. But watch out. You won't like him when he's angry.

Never fear Adam, you can get better boxes! I have one that is larger and can accomodate bananas of varying sizes and shapes. Have a look at the link below

Three cheers for non-bruised bananas!

Wow, I have never actually managed to find a banana that WON'T fit in my banana guard - that is actually quite impressive! Despite finding one that doesn't fit, I think everyone should buy a Banana Guard, because 99% of the time they are amazing - you will never have bruised or mushy bananas again at school or work :)

I saw this when i was looking around the site from the site which Wendy (previous comment) put a link to, about the banana protecting boxes. I noticed that if us customers want to contact you, just ring the banana phone... i just wondered if you had some or not... if not, you can now!

When atop a munro (mountain over 3000ft!) in the Scottish Highlands i noted my friend unwrapping his banana - he'd wrapped it in clingfilm! I told him he should get a banana guard but he informed me wrapping a banana in clingfilm protects it from getting bruised! ...and he was concerned that his bananas wouldn't fit in the guard... which does seem to be a potential problem as Adam found out! Go with clingfilm!

The protection of bananas is very important, smiles.

As for me, the best way to protect a banana is to peel the flippin' thing and stuff in my gob. Problem solved, its protected in my tummy.

i think you should complain coz i'm pretty sure that thing says fits any banana! or any banana fits it... or something...
this is why i haven't bought one, i knew there'd be those problematic fiendish bananas that don't wanna be bendy!

I've heard that when Adam gets really cross, he turns into godzilla and starts squashing children.

What you need is something like this! Not quite the same protection but cosy nontheless.

We have a banana guard and we've found a few bananas that don't fit (either too big or too bendy!) so now we're looking for an apple protector, I've heard they're a round inflatable devive but I've not found one yet, can anyone help?

I used to take bananas to uni in a sock! It really did work even if it did look a bit weird! =D I didn't care though - it was a clean sock! =D

Everyone thinks my banana guard looks grim. I think they're incredibly useful. Though I too get upset when bananas don't fit. Once it scraped part of the banana skin off and trapped it outside because it was just a bit too fat! Better than nothing though.

I dont like banana's so I dont need a banana protecting box thingy, however I do like apples, is there an apple one?
Posted by: Libby | November 08, 2007 at 03:57 PM
Lakeland do an apple one... it has a smiley face on and everything!
my friend had a banana guard and we disowned him for it; he had to get the banana out with the guard still in his bag!

OK, so this isn't related to your cool banana protector, but i had to say a BIG THANK YOU.
Thanks to this Innocent site, you've revolutionised the way i deal with my Banana peeling.
It is SO MUCH EASIER with the pinch method from the "bottom" upwards, rather than "snapping" from the stalk.
Thank you Innocent !! :)

I have the solution! Eat a banana smoothie instead! No squishy banana, no banana that doesn't fit
Posted by: Celia | November 10, 2007 at 08:45 AM

Forget trying to pack your banana into an unsympatheticly shaped box, take a biro and write your name on its yummy yellow skin. If you've never written on a banana in biro, you do'nt know what you're missing..........

Hi,
I saw Adam was a bit (or shall i say a lot) angry about his banana case. I remembered seeing something like that in a catolouge, but it was more like a bag thing than a plastic case. I have the link for it
http://tinyurl.com/2zwrwm
and all the profit made by the banana bag goes to support childrens charities. Check it out and let me know if it's a better fit for Adam's banana.
luv
