heavily branded goods

Russell_brand_2

For this year's little woolly hat project (aka The Big Knit) we thought we'd ask some famous people to design a hat or two for us. We've already shown you some right royal designs you might remember.

Now we give you the above creation by telly's Russell Brand. He sent us the below design based on his own bouffant 'do' and then our expert knitting friends at Rowan yarns have made it into reality for us.

Dsc01355

We've also had designs from all of these people aswell amongst others. Let us know whose hat you'd like to see next and we'll post it up...

  • Fearne Cotton
  • Denise Van Outen
  • Chico
  • Joanna Lumley
  • JK (Radio 1)
  • Chris Tarrant
  • Lil Chris (Rock School)
  • Jeremy (Arcade Fire drummer)
  • Kirsten O'Brien (CBBC )

Oh can I see the Arcade Fire one - I love the band and can;t stop playing their first album. Thank you, tanks you. Oh infact why not post all of them up there as it'll be entertaining to see all of them side by side

Fearne Cotton please or Kirsten O'Brien (because she support the boro!)

Loved seeing all the big knits this year!

Yes all of them please! But if you let us see only one then please let it be Joanna Lumley's. I'm sure it is Absolutely Fabulous, though hopefully not made from Sapphire and Steel as that would be hard to knit, Though possibly good colour combination.

It's got to be Chico time.

It has to be Joanna Lumley because it is bound to be gorgeous darling.

    Ooh Joanna Lumley please!

What time is it???? It's got to be chico time lol

    Joanna Lumley please

Fearne Cotton or Kirsten O'Brien - I think theirs could be interesting!

Else Jeremy from Arcade Fire... that could be interesting. Crazy Canadian musician and all...

In fact, why not just post them all day by day or something? That'd be cool.

joannaaaaaa lovely-lumley please! it'd be a 'priviledge'.. hur hur

Erm..... bubbly Fearne Cotton pleasing thank you

    Arcade Fire please!

It has to be Joanna Lumley darling, then someone could also make some little knitted desert island bra shoes...

Adds voice to excited crowd: Joanna Lumley please!

    Lovely Rachel Stevens, please!

    Fearne Cotton please!

    Denise van Outen please!

All the celebrity hats are at the photographers for their official photo shoot as we speak (Chico's hat has been playing up a bit in hair and makeup apparently).

So it looks like Fearne Cotton, Joanna Lumley and Chico are the favorites so far. With a surprise interest in Arcade Fire, we thought it was just us that liked them?

We'll post up all the pictures (and sketches they came from) as soon as we get the shots back next week.

Sorry to keep you all waiting with baited breath.

Loved to see Russell Brand's woolly number on top of a coconut smoothie - coconuts are the Russell Brand's of the nut world (are they nuts?) with their mad hairy exteriors and interiors which if drunk make you run for the loo..... (yep they are great at unblocking the system as my poor two year old son found out when he overdosed on coconut juice in Sabah) Where was I? Yep, no woolly hats found here in darkets Dorset... are we too far from Fruit Towers? Cxx

    Hi Charis,

The hat-wearing smoothies are in every Sainsbury's store across the country this year - so you should definitely be able to find them in Dorset. Have you had a look in your local Sainsbury's?

    bkc.

    Joanna Lumley!!!

I WELL GOT A PINK SMOOTHIE HAT!

I love it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much... More than.. More than... Arcade Fire!!!!

I saw them live. The drummer is ubercool... Show me his hat!!!!

Ahahaha... SHow wme all the hats!
