Big Knit the movie

Here's a little film about our Big Knit project that we've just made. It involves our Andrew learning how to knit with the help of Margaret and Marie. He's a one man knitting machine now.

Love the movie!!!!

great movie, thanks to these nice old ladies Margaret and Marie (which my grandparents were still there...)
KEEP ON WALKING

Sorry for the typing error, should have been "wish" of course

excellent, hope I'm as cool as the two lovely ladies on the film when I get to their young age, they are brilliant and andrews not too bad either. keep on knitting!!!!

'Nice old ladies!' How patronising can you be? I bet they don't think of themselves as that. Check out Linda's post.

Lovely little film!
Nice touch that it’s a guy doing the knitting too....

My husband said our house looks like a Hitchcock movie set with bobble hats instead of birds. But the truth is he’s also contributing to the growth of the army of little hats (we both learnt knitting at the same time actually).

Our first knit-in was supposed to have quite a few guys turning up (enough for me to wonder if besides smoothies, tea and cake, we should get lagers and pringles too), but most of them bottled on the day.
So I thought maybe next year you could devote some space or even have a section on the blog for guys-only, along the lines of “real men knit”. It’d be cool.
And I wouldn’t mind seeing the co-founders getting their needles going...

Great little film. i still haven't manged to learn how to knit as I don't have any grannies to teach me - Does anyone have any they can lend me in north London?? I'd like to learn and do my bit too. Or do you plan any 'Knit-ins' at Fruit Towers?

I am so proud of my grandma as are all her children, grand children and great children (she has 4 of those at last count)...Margaret May completely played down this event! I am in Australia and to see her on YouTube is just amazing. I am thinking that Margeret and Marie could become a new "how to" comedy double act. Their knowledge and skills at a combined age of about 183 are immense!

aw.............. great film and fantastic to see the generations mix so well. I used to knit big aran sweaters till nephews and son begged me to stop...... Margaret and Marie are a great double act, think you should use them on your next TV advert.
