Karen from Artists Network Bedfordshire sent us a link to this hand bag made from recycled innocent kids drink cartons. It was created by Maxine Owen, who uses a lot of recycled material in her work apparently. It's even got little tags and things on it like those posh ones you need to remortgage your house to pay for.

That's cool!

Ohh, I have a ag a little bit like this made out of recycled juice cartons ( they are a bit like capri-sun cartons, the foil-pouchy things ) ! I meant to suggest it to one of your people at the fete, but it slipped my mind - but looks like someone got there first!
It's very pretty, I wish I had one :P
You can get a similar type of thing from http://www.doybags.com

It's very pretty. But I hope the lady who made it ensured that the cartons were all thoroughly washed before it's creation. You don't want your mobile covered in off smelling, sticky smoothie gunk.

I want one! Are they for sale?

In response to Joanne.... SURELY the lady who made this lovely bag had the common sense to wash the cartons out, do you really think she'd stitch a bag if the cartons were gooey????

i am the artist who created this..and i would like to say to the author who posted up the comment about washing cartons out...all the cartons have been cleaned and steamed...the bags are fully lined and functional. I would not dream of working with unclean materials....

I just wish that there are many shops that sells hand-made or custom-made products for people to enjoy. Especially those people who loves handicrafts.
